Cartier makes some very classy watches. I would refer to these, not as “men’s watches,” but more as “gentlemen’s watches.” Indeed, Cartier is the taste of many a refined gentleman. The Cartier Santos Dumont Mens Watch W2006951 is no exception to the trend as it boasts elegant and classic features that have a certain distinguished quality to them.

On the shape of the watch, it has a square face with an exquisite leather alligator style bracelet. The overall effect of this is a contrast to the metallic nature of most watches and allows this watch to have a more earthy and natural look and feel to it. The natural feel of this watch doesn’t mean it is dowdy however. The octagonal crown also boasts a sapphire set into it. Speaking of sapphire, the sapphire crystal is scratch resistant and the watch is water resistant to 30 meters–talk about durable. Now, the case is about 44.6×34.6 mm which makes it quite large. Coupled with the big roman numerals this watch is easier to read than the back of a cereal box. However, if you have petite feature than perhaps this is not the watch for you. But, if you are a refined gentleman like Ernest Hemingway, Theodore Roosevelt, or the guy from the beer commercials, then this is the perfect watch for you.

The Cartier Tank Americaine Mens Watch W2609156 features a brown leather strap with a crocodile pattern. It may be reminiscent of your trip to the amazon where you bagged your own gator. Then again, maybe not. But perhaps it is, and you want to swap out the leather for some you took from a trophy kill personally, the choice is yours and the possibilities are endless. Moving past the band, the buckle is gold. Or a better less awkward way to describe it is an 18kt gold buckle. Maybe you have an 18kt gold buckle that you use to hold up your pants. And while your holding up your pants with gold you want to look at the time on your wrist and you want that time to be set in gold, because these are your golden years. Bam. Done. Did somebody say 18kt rose gold face? I did and this watch has it. Simply stunning. We got a sapphire crystal scratch resistant surface and water resistance to 100 feet. If you can dive more than 100 feet you don’t need a watch you need a handshake, because that is pretty impressive. The dial is completely classic invoking the ancient societies with its roman numeral silver grained style. Oh so elegant and classy.

Some of the cooler specs include the crown which is an octagon with 18 kt gold and a blue sapphire cabochon, which is pretty neat. The watch also feature self-winding automatic movement, because you have enough to worry about in life as is. Let yourself be well-assured you’ll be on time.

If you are looking for a very sophisticated watch, that any gentleman would be proud to wear and own, then this watch is for you.

If you do not want a classic style and are looking for something shiny then get off my lawn and find one of those bling pieces the kids are talking about because this isn’t it.

For a stylishly organized look, consider the Cartier Pasha 42 mm XL Men’s Watch W3109255. Its silvered opaline dial has Arabic numerals marking the hours and thin black dashes indicating the half hours along its round outer edge. In the center, a guilloché square overlays bisecting lines that connect some of the hour markers, neatly dividing the remaining space up to contain another set of numerals: 3, 6, and 9 in larger print and a date display at 12 o’clock. You may notice that the trademark blued-steel hour hand doesn’t reach outside the center square, but it is easily lined up with another set of marks along the edge of the square, where the bold marks correspond with the numeral hour markers.

The most interesting feature on this watch, hands down (if you’ll pardon the pun), is the day/night disk at the bottom of the guilloché square. With this watch, it’s best to avoid a lot of contact with water. The case itself is water resistant to 30 meters (98 feet). It also houses a sapphire, scratch resistant crystal and a beautiful white dial. This watch is also water proof up to ninety nine feet but I definitely would not go swimming with it.

Since Cartier’s very inception, Cartier has been dedicated to making finely crafted jewelry and timepieces. Their history is a long line and wide range of royal customers. With this kind of history, you know that you are getting a fine watch that will work as well as it looks. This watch goes nicely with anything in your wardrobe and can work in any number of environments stylistically. You will never feel out of place with this watch and you will probably catch yourself checking the time more often than you used to just because it is such a nice piece to admire. The Cartier Calibre Steel W7100013 would be a fine addition to any man’s wardrobe and should not be overlooked.

Of course, the only downside to this watch is its high price but if you do have the budget for this kind of watch, the Calibre Steel should not be overlooked. Its simple elegance is well worth the purchase and you will not regret it.

Equipped with the usual sapphire-crystal cover, which is scratch and water resistant, this Pasha model is up to date with the latest in quality materials. The casing is opalescent steel. Unfortunately, like every line, some new models are simply not as successful as others. In the case of the Cartier Santos Galbee W20099C4 XL Men’s Watch, you may want to keep your wallets closed.

Don’t get me wrong – like all Cartier products, quality is an assurance. The W20099C4 is designed with 18 karat gold for the frame and the screws that accent the watch band. The rest of the watch and the links of the band itself are brushed steel. The clock face and its iconic blue sword-shaped hands are encased in a sapphire-crystal cover which is both scratch-resistant and waterproof up to a hundred feet. The screws that hold the piece together have been cleverly inverted to balance the gold and silver accents, making tiny, warm dots along the band where the gold has been inlaid.

One of the perks of this watch is that while it targets men in its title, the watch is slim enough to match the tastes of many women as well. For that reason, I think this model could functionally be unisex as opposed to simply men’s wear. The pros and cons in consideration, the W20099C4 is a high-quality watch, but is nothing truly spectacular. I advise against seeking it out at the manufacturer’s price as so many stores will now sell it for thousands of dollars less.

The Cartier Roadster Steel W62048V3 men’s watch is an elegant and luxurious addition to any suit you match with it. Cartier is known for creating masterpiece timepieces but this particular Roadster is in a class of its own. Its roman numerals backed by an elegant blue dial and a stainless steel band will have you feeling great every time you stop to check the time. You may find yourself checking more often than you used to.

This watch retails at $5,300 US but when I did a quick search on Google I found some significant discounts. Unfortunately, Amazon does not sell the W62048V3 model of the Cartier Roadster but websites such as watchesonnet.com have it discounted to $4,767. Any sort of discount is nice on any watch but this watch is worth every red cent.

This watch features a stainless steel link bracelet with a blue sunray dial. As mentioned before, it has Roman numerals that add a layer of elegance to an already luxurious watch. The hands are luminous so it’s easier to read in dark and dimly lit areas; you will never be straining or squinting for the time! The date is magnified and displayed at the three o’clock position and the watch is self-winding with automatic movement. It is also nice to know that the watch is water resistant up to one hundred meters in case you accidentally fall into a pond or something like that but I would not be the one to swim Olympic style or take it to the beach to test its limits. It’s just not that kind of watch!
